Our Weekend!

We spent our weekend relaxing in San Luis with Kevin's parents Mary Lou and Les - it was great! Nana Lou was so wonderful to surprise Ashlin with a new beautiful Easter dress- it is so cute. Pale yellow with little pink flowers...Thank you, we love it!

This is a photo of Ashlin and I at the horse show. The show begins on Thursday, with an elaborate customized canopy, plants, furniture, accessories and about 10 very heavy tack trunks. It is quite the process. It always looks fabulous and draws a lot of attention. Later the horses are hauled to the show on Friday, exercised by me (sometimes up to 12 horses) then all the clients arrive to practice at the show. Horses are then bathed, clipped and blanketed for the night. Saturday morning comes so early, I usually get to the show around 6:30am or 7am, do more rides if the horses are still hyper and the show begins at 8am. I am usually at the show for about 12-14 hours, it is a long day but very rewarding. Sunday starts the same and usually lasts only 8-10 hours. Horses are then hauled home and the take down of the display begins. This past horse show went great. We ended the show with about 8 championships and about 15 first places with prize, the clients rode extremely well and were very happy!

We have a 17 POUNDER!!

Ashlin has grown so much. She weighs 17 pounds now. She is eating well and enjoying baby pears, applesauce, sweet potatoes, peas and string beans. She rolls on her back then over again and wiggles around. She is very happy in the car, looking out the window while she, Louie and I do errands. She also loves people watching while on our jogs. I love being able to have her all day, with a little break for working. She sings to herself a lot and LOVES chewing on Jeffery (her favorite toy - the soft plastic Giraffe).

Ashlin is so LUCKY!

Ashlin is so lucky to have so many people around her that LOVE HER! Aunt D (Donna Silva) usually takes Ashlin once a week to play and help me out. It is great for both Ashin and myself. Ashlin is now 7 months old and rolling all over the floor. She enjoys playing by herself on the carpet and can keep herself entertained for a good 20 minutes. She laughs out loud a lot and loves watching her doggie run around.
