So Ashlin and Lou Bug are my little buddies, we do everything together (yes it is true they don't have a choice) but we have so much fun driving around together. Let me tell you, we get a lot done in a day (gym, bank, market, cost-co, whatever)- having a child hasn't slowed me down, in fact I think we average about 18 miles a week on the BOB stroller with a 3 day per week run. I love having them with me.

Yesterday was a big day because we turned Ashlin's carseat around so now she is facing forward. I love seeing her. Together we turn the music up whether it is country, classic rock or hip hop we all sing...she babbles and wiggles to the beat. It is really funny!

We are so lucky to get the most amazing SUNSETS everynight, even when it isn't sunny and blue out the clouds and the mountains provide a unique show everynight.

1 Year Check Up

Ashlin's 1 year check up. Very healthy and happy! Can eat anything, especially loves mac'n'cheese and gucamole. She weighs 18 pounds 14 ounces (30th percentile), she is 29 1/2 inches tall (75th percentile) and her head is 45 1/4cm (60th percentile). She is a taller than average skinny minny! Loves all her birthday toys! Especially the roaring lion from Nana Lou & Papa Bear, and of course the guitar from Corey & Ellen.

More Birthday Fun

We had a great party. Lots of friends, family, food, cake, presents and of course the pinata!

Viva La Fiesta!!

WOW - a week of parties, parades and fun! Ashlin was amazingly well behaved for everything...she loved watching the dancers at the Mission. While in the parade she clapped and waved to everyone...it was so cute. We enjoyed a house full of guests, Mary Lou & Les, Corey & Ellen (James and Catherine) all stayed for the fun events.

A Day at the MID - STATE FAIR

Allison and I drove up to Paso Robles for the day to spend at the fair. It was so much fun! The weather was great, a mild 90 degrees but by the time we left it was only 71 degrees. We ate corn dogs, blue freezes, kettle corn and funnel cakes. Allison really had her eye on the BIG FAT SAUSAGE! I tried to keep her away but what I can I say - she didn't listen! Ashlin loved everything including all the animals.
