Ashlin and I had a fun day having "girl time". We got our nails done. Her color choice: light pink with dark pink hearts. She was so good, sitting there watching the lady make every stroke. Then we went shopping!

Decorating Christmas Cookies

We had great fun decorating Christmas Cookies last night. In the middle of decorating we heard a ring on the door bell...I opened the door to the WHOLE neighborhood standing at our front door signing Christmas carols. It was so cute!

We had a great family weekend working at the stable. The kids enjoyed playing in the mud, climbing the rock pile and finding scary spiders while Kevin and I dug post holes for a new fence - fun fun!

Happy Thanksgiving!

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving! I worked the horse show in the morning - did most of my preparing the night before. We all gathered at my sister's house for a great time together. It was was nice because everyone contributed to making the food, cooking the food and cleaning up - it was a group effort and super fun. My Aunt/Uncle, Cousins, their kids and parents were all in attendence.

Happy Halloween!! 2012

Happy Halloween!! We had such a great halloween, we all went and watched Ashlin's parade - she really knows how to wave! Then we went trick or treating for 2 hours around our neighborhood - it was so much fun. The houses were really amazing, decorated to the max and very generous with the candy.

Field Trip to the Pumpkin Patch

Ashlin's class took a field trip to the Pumpkin Patch today. I drove her, a few classmates and Westin. It is such a blessing that I can be so involved with the kids - like driving them on field trips. Westin, of course, wanted every single pumpkin including the one that was larger than him. He made friends with the scare crow.

Fall is here...

The weather is changing and the leaves are falling, I love this time of year! We went to the pumpkin patch this weekend (our second one already). The kids are really excited about Halloween and ALL the candy they get to eat. They have been really playing well together, Ashlin is good at making up games and Westin is very happy to do whatever she wants. Including: dress up, lip gloss, tea parties, running around naked! His vocabulary has exploded and will repeat everything Ashlin says, sometimes Ashlin plays "teacher" and gives him words to say. We also practice our spanish, Ashlin is working on counting in spanish.

My Little Assistant

Meet my new little assistant, Ashlin Rae - 4 yrs. old. Ashlin has been coming with me to work at the barn on Tuesday and Thursdays. She rides, feeds the horses and sits on the bench with me to give lessons. Sometimes she even cups her hands over her mouth to be heard better and yells directions at the girls riding - a little scary how much she is like me. But it is fun!
