Lemonade Stand Sale

"Lemonade for SALE!"  Ashlin and a classmate who lives 2 doors down did a lemonade sale to raise money for their school.  It was a warm afternoon, so they sold lots of lemonade and cookies. They had so much fun.  The kids and I made all the signs together. Ashlin would stand on the corner shaking the sign at every car that drove past.  Westin enjoyed watching.  It was a good afternoon. Ashlin's teacher and husband stopped by to support.

Ashlin's Soccer

This is Ashlin's first year playing soccer. Her team name is the Cherry Chaser's. She seems to really enjoy it, this was her third game. They practice once a week. She is the tallest on the team and the fastest. She showed much improvement today, she even had two big hard kicks that she ran with down the field and shot to score.  She is really good at running back passing the other girls to defend her goal and kicking the ball away.  She is very kind with the other team, still learning that it's ok to kick at them. Her biggest fan is WESTIN, he is very into her game watching every kick and yelling at her...saying "Ashlin get the ball, kick it, kick it HARDER!!!" It is funny to watch.

Mr. Sleeping Beauty

Westin loves to snuggle his "bumble blanket" while sleeping. He sleeps without a diaper and loves to sleep in late.

Our Family - by Ashlin Rae

Ashlin drew this family portrait. She explained to me that she wanted to make it very accurate, pointing out Dadda's black hair and the brown spots in my yellow hair. She even included Louie, who is sitting. The boy's lips are blue, the girl's lips are red and note that it is a very special day because BOTH the sun and the moon are in the sky. I do love the long eye lashes
