Disneyland - what a truely magical place. It is so beautiful, so clean and everyone is so friendly and nice. Since it is so close to the kid's birthday we decided to celebrate it at Disneyland. Ashlin loved it! Every single person we came across that worked there said "Happy Birthday Ashlin," and she even got a birthday song while awaiting in line. We arrived at 9am to take advantage of the full day, we only left to let everyone take a nap. But returned to stay until 10:30pm. It was so much fun. The rides, the shows, the fireworks, the food, the characters - it was something we will remember until the next time!
We had a wonderful weekend with Papa Les and Nana Lou at the farm. The weather was great (hot), we rode the miniature trains, went to the circus and enjoyed being together. As you can see, some of the "conductors" of the trains were a little too big for their trains - it was funny!
June 18, 2011. Megan and Nick were married at the Hope House (my parent's house) at a 5pm ceremony. Kevin conducted the ceremony and married them. It was an amazing day, the sun peaked out right as Megan and my father were getting out of the Studebaker Old-Fashioned car. The whole wedding was dreamy, her dress, the colors, the flowers, everything was great! We were welcomed with a cold ice-tea or raspberry lemonade, the chairs were set up in an arc facing the beautiful rose garden. A huge dance floor centered the tables. The cake was beautiful, the girls had a hard time not starting in on it early. The kids were super, and did their part perfect. Everyone (including the kids) danced the night away.
The Pier Family is in town to celebrate the upcoming wedding. We have had lots of fun. Ashlin just loves Porter and Thatcher and has done a sleep over two nights in a row (it is her first ever sleep over), she did great! Porter takes really good care of Ashlin and enjoys having her say words..."Ashlin say, DELICIOUS." "Ashlin say..." It is really cute.
CABO has been wonderful so far. The weather is perfect, not too hot and warm in the evenings. We played at the beach, in the pool, on the water slide, ate great food and enjoyed spending time with the kids and family. Corey (in the cowboy hat) and Ellen were able to spend a few days with us. More to come!
Both kids LOVE the bath. Westin splashes around and Ashlin enjoys pouring water on his back. Then I get him out, dried off and lotion up - after that he crawls back to the bath, pulls himself up and smiles at Ashlin...so cute!
