Our Super Star Student

Ashlin is an amazing student.  She recently earned the "Successful Student" Award in her school. Her teacher speaks very highly of her.  Also in her class they have a daily system of earning different color happy faces depending on their behavior.  Each student starts the day off on green (good) and can either go down to yellow, then red (very bad) or be moved up to blue (very good) or PURPLE (excellent).  Ashlin has earned a purple happy face every day so far, and very often she is the only one in her class that earns a purple happy face that day.  Her teacher says she goes out of her way to help the other students, never has to be asked twice to do anything and is very quick to start working on her assignments. SO PROUD!!

First Day of School

Ashlin started Kindergarden and Westin is in his last year of Pre-school.  Both kids love school and get high remarks from their teachers.

RV Trip Part 2

RV trip continued...we had a prime spot on the beach. The kids also enjoyed fishing.

RV Trip

We loaded up the RV and took a trip around Mammoth Lakes. It was beautiful, the hiking was great and the kids had so much fun. We stayed in a different campground every night. Whether it was in a forest, a lake or between two streams each location had something different and fun to offer. We really enjoyed it.

Build a Bear

On August 3, Ashlin's birthday we took a family trip to The Thousand Oaks mall so she could BUILD - A - BEAR for her 6th birthday. She picked out a spotted dog named Sparkle, dressed it in a beautiful pink and purple dress with matching shoes, hair bows and panties.

Fiesta 2014

We had an amazing Fiesta. We rode in a carriage in the big parade - kids were amazing at waving and blowing bubbles, attended the kids parade, pancake breakfast, el mercado and the Rodeo. Corey, James and Katherine joined in all the fun with us.

Westin's Sunflower

Westin is so proud of his sunflower. He started it as a seed from school, we brought it home and planted it. He watered almost everyday and spoke to it often. He would encourage it to grow.

Our Little Swimmer

Ashlin competed in a swim meet today. She did great, racing in the free style and back stroke. Westin did a good job of cheering her on. Her coach Steven was very proud of her. We went out for ice cream to celebrate!

Gram Cracker visit

The kids and I had a nice visit with my Grandmother (Gram Cracker), she was happy to see us and meet Zoom Zoom.  (Zoom now weighs 6.9 lbs, just a month ago he weighed 4.2 lbs.)
